Stephen Presson

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio before relocating to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2010 Stephen Presson seamlessly blends elements of Rock, Blues, Folk, Jazz and more combined with deeply emotional, insightful lyrics into his own unique and unmistakeable sound.

The gift of a guitar at a young age from his mother sparked a fascination with the instrument and music that grew into passion and eventual obsession. A talented singer herself she fostered his creativity and filled their home with music of all genres from Patsy Cline to The Pointer Sisters from Miles Davis to Bob Dylan and everything inbetween. She would host talent shows for friends and family to further develop his talents. Writing his first album before getting his drivers license and gigging local venues before graduating high school he was entrenched in the local live music scene as both headliner and opener for touring acts at Cincinnati venues such as Mad Frog, Bogarts, Stanleys then culminating with opening the Cincinnati Blues Festival and Pepsi On Main Concert Series as a solo act and with the band Jasper Mills. Drifting West relocating to Fort Collins, Colorado in 2010 he has written 2 more Full Length Albums, 1 EP, and countless Singles while performing regularly at local institutions such as Avogadro's Number, Mishawaka Amphitheater, Swing Station, Blackbird Coffeehouse, and The Swing Station both as a solo act and with his band Birds In Flight while continuing to hone his skills as a songwriter, performer, and producer. 

When the world stopped in 2020 Stephen hit the pause button as well focusing on family and searching for new inspiration. In a new relationship with renewed focus and energy he began working thru his catalog of a 100 plus songs remixing and recording them in a less eclectic and more approachable production esthetic to hopefully reach a broader audience and give these songs a new life while continuing to write new material. A second project of cover songs instrumental in his musical journey is being produced alongside these other projects. Late 2026 and early 2027 looks to be a busy time for new releases and remastered recordings of previous material.
